Choosing your spring package

The Full Kit replaces the upper and lower springs together. Lowers Only is a partial replacement: confirm that the upper springs and hardware you plan to retain are suitable for the resulting setup. A tender spring kit replaces the tender springs while retaining the main springs. Choose the package for the components you intend to replace, rather than treating these options as the same upgrade.

How a dual-rate spring stack works

While both springs are free to compress, they work together at a combined rate lower than either spring alone. In a setup using a crossover stop, the spring divider reaches that stop as the suspension compresses. Further compression then acts on the lower main spring, increasing the effective spring rate. The spring combination and crossover setup determine the transition; two springs alone do not establish the crossover point.

Installation overview and setup

Follow the Polaris service procedure for your exact model year and the instructions for your installed shocks. Professional installation is recommended. The video below is a general spring-installation overview.

  1. Record the starting ride height on level ground and note the vehicle's normal operating load.
  2. Safely raise and support the vehicle. Unload the suspension before preload adjustments and release spring tension with suitable equipment before removing retainers.
  3. Install the springs supplied in your selected package using the applicable front and rear shock procedures. Torque removed fasteners to your exact model's specifications.
  4. Lower the vehicle and move it forward and backward to settle the suspension before remeasuring.
  5. Follow the shock manufacturer's adjustment limits. Make small changes with the suspension unloaded, then settle and remeasure. Keep left and right settings matched on each axle.

All Thingz UTV ride-height baseline

These figures are All Thingz UTV setup baselines for this RZR XP 1000 Highlifter spring-kit application. They are not Polaris factory specifications or independently verified measurements for every vehicle configuration.

Tire size (inches) ATU baseline height (inches)
28 13.5 ± 0.5
29 14.0
30 14.5
31 15.0
32 15.5
33 16.0
34 16.5
35 17.0
36 17.5

Measurement reference: Ground to the underside of the skid plate, on level ground with the suspension settled after moving forward and backward. Use consistent reference points when comparing measurements. Tire dimensions, pressure, passengers, accessories, and suspension setup affect the result. Listed tire sizes do not confirm tire fitment. The original ATU instructions specify a 2.5-inch increase over the standard baseline for the factory High Lifter application; this is ATU setup guidance, not a verified Polaris factory measurement.
